Flowers of Friendship

The Flowers of Friendship Bundle can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog on page 78. It is made up of a stamp set and a coordinating punch. I love punches! They are a great time-saving tool.

The cards that I made today are for my upline team’s monthly color challenge. We were given the colors of Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, and Garden Green. At first, I was a little stumped because there isn’t much to pick from as far as DSP goes. We do have the DSP of our color families but I haven’t purchased the new ones yet. So, I had to dig deep. Much like a beginning stamper that might not have a ton of supplies yet.

I have enjoyed playing with many of the new products. At first glance, I felt this set might be a little boring. However, I certainly do not feel that way anymore! It just lends itself to so many different techniques! Be sure to watch the video to see what everyday tool I used to shape the flower petals.

More Flower of Friendship Cards

This card is where I started. I made my own DSP for two of the tags. I used Blushing Bride ink on Blushing Bride cardstock for one of the tags, On the other tag, I used my Stampin’ Blends marker in Highland Heather and my Stampin’ Write Marker in Garden Green to make stripes. Stampin’ Write Markers are often ignored. They aren’t flashy products. They are a standard workhorse! These markers come in every color in the line. You can use them for fixing mistakes, coloring images, and writing on our cards and envelopes.

I love the clean and simple feel of this card. Now I just need to decide who will receive it. I feel very led to share the love of Christ with others through my crafting. Do any of you feel led in that way?

This card is my favorite of the three. I embossed three pieces of Basic White Cardstock with three different embossing folders. I used our Blending Brushes to color each sheet. Next, I cut each sheet into 1/2″ strips. And last, I adhered each strip to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Basic White. You will need to use liquid adhesive for this process. Cut the strips even to the edge of the panel and then you can adhere the panel to your card. I chose to use an additional panel of Blushing Bride before adhering mine together.

I hope that you have enjoyed today’s color challenge cards. If you decide to try the challenge, please post a picture in the comments. It would be wonderful to see your creations! As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative.

Hydrangea Hill

Working with the Hydrangea Hill Suite by Stampin’ Up is a dream! Both the stamped images and the Designer Series Papers are gorgeous. I just had to play with these goodies before they retire soon.

Today’s Video

I wanted to show you specifically how this design in the paper pack could be used to create cards very quickly. As a result of this technique, you have six beautiful cards in a matter of minutes!

On this card I used the Seaside Spray cardstock for the tag. I am going really miss this color! And the Detailed Band Dies are on clearance sale right now. They are an absolute steal!

This card features the Rococo Rose cardstock. I also ran the DSP through the embossing machine using the Subtles Folder. It really made the card look rich and sophisticated! I am happy with how things turned out.

As you can see, this suite of products can be used together to create many different styles of cards. The DSP is very appropriate for any card occasion. You would not likely find cards this beautiful in a store.

I used various sentiments today. But, the ones included in the suite are lovely. Who wouldn’t love receiving a card with this greeting? Getting a card for no reason at all is a great surprise!

As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative.

Posted For You

The Posted For You bundle is a sweet and tender stamp set and matching punch. It features airy images of florals and birds. These images can also be colored in many different ways. This card just makes me smile!

More Posted For You Cards

While this is a very simple card to make, it is still graceful and elegant. This project will allow the beginner, casual, and avid crafters to be successful. You could leave the twine off the card, add gems, or even emboss the stamped layer. Additionally, you can choose from any of our colors and this design will work!

A handmade greeting card that is made using the Posted For You bundle by Stampin' UP.

I love the ribbon on this card. It is Blushing Bride in color. One side of the ribbon is a solid satin while the other side is a shimmer of gold thread. The ribbon goes well with both Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride. It is so elegant!

This card is very similar to the one made in the video. I used the same twine but I separated the strands and made a nest behind the postage stamp. All of my images were colored in with a Water Painter that I filled with alcohol and our inks. Sadly, I learned shortly after filming this video that this stamp set will be retiring. You will want to purchase it quickly!

Thank you so much for spending time with me today. Remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

Gorgeous Posies by Stampin’ Up

Do you love Gorgeous Posies? I love all kinds of flowers! And the florals in this project kit are stunning. A project kit is a great way to get started making cards. However, experienced card makers really enjoy them too.

More Gorgeous Posies Cards

Stampin’ Up offers many types of kits. Some of them include absolutely everything. Other kits offer the option of adding on a special stamp set. This is the case with the Gorgeous Posies Project Kit. You can make the cards using the coordinating stamp set or substitute in one of your favorites. For this card I took the stamp set and created a card that didn’t use any of the kit supplies. This was simply to remind you that you can continue to make cards long after the kit contents are gone.

I simply stamped my own DSP using the stamp set. The strip on the left was embossed using one of the embossing folders from the Forever Greenery Suite. Then I mixed some ink refill with our Frost White Shimmer Paint. Next I took an old Wink of Stella brush and painted the raised areas. Ribbon and a bow completed my creation.

Here are more photos of cards that come with the kit. I made the cards per the instructions . But feel free to get creative with the supplies!

As I said in the video, I am not usually a purple girl. But I feel these cards are just absolutely lovely! As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!
