Irresistible Blooms by Stampin’ Up

One of Stampin’ Up’s newest product groupings is called Irresistible Blooms. There are stamps, dies, DSP, and embellishments. They are all part of the new Online Exclusive product line. You can find these products by clicking on the “SHOP” tab on my website and scroll through the menu to “ONLINE EXCLUSIVES”. These products will not be featured in any publication and there is no specific time period in which they will be available. So, if you see an online exclusive product if you want, you should probably just go ahead and order it.

This fun fold card is super easy to make but it looks really difficult! The DSP that I used in today’s project is so soft and muted. First, I love that this card features so much of the DSP! Second, I love that the card sits up nicely for display. So many people that we bless with cards need encouragement and a reminder that they are loved!

More Irresistible Blooms Cards

Various colors in the DSP lead to many different color combinations in your cards. I am very happy that Pretty Peacock is returning!

Even More Fun Fold Cards

I love the endless combinations that are possible with this fun fold! Challenge yourself this week to make two cards and MAIL them to bless someone that might be lonely. As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

Sweet Stockings Fireplace Swing Card

Today, I am going to make a Fireplace Swing Card. I will be using the Sweet Stockings Suite of products by Stampin’ Up. While the suite features very cute and whimsical animals, don’t dismiss it if animals aren’t your thing. This card will show you that you can use these products to create very traditional cards. I added a cat to the inside of my card, but you could simply just leave it off.

This card is an ideal card to send to a shut-in, nursing home resident, or hospital patient. I realize that it is early in the year to be thinking of such things. But, we know that we will need some of these types of cards. Now is the time to start building your collection of handmade cards for the holidays. You will feel so much less stressed in December if you have your cards ready.

More Details of the Sweet Stocking Cards

This is a greeting card made by using the Sweet Stockings suite of products by Stampin' Up. The card is created to look like a fireplace!

This is my favorite layer of the card! I love all of the depth and texture. I like all of the product coordination. The backs of the stockings still match the DSP on the inside layer. And, I also like the warm and cozy feeling that the card creates.

The Sweet Stocking Suite offers many different options for decorating the inside of your card. I chose the sentiment “Sending Lots Of Love”. I think the people I would send this card to would appreciate hearing that they are loved. 🙂 But there are other sentiment stamps in the set. And I chose to add this adorable kitty to the inside. However, there are images of gifts and other Christmas images as well.

I wanted to show you two different versions of the fireplace swing card. This is my original card. It has more of a sleek modern look compared to the traditional feel of the one we made together today. You have so many choices!

Finishing Touches

Don’ forget to decorate your envelopes! This step really elevates the look of your cards. I stamped and colored a stocking image of the front of my envelope and colored it in with Stampin’ Blends. You could also add some DSP to the flap of your envelope.

Do you enjoy making more involved cards? I would love to know what kind of cards you would like to see on my channel. As always remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

Delicate Dahlias by Stampin’ Up

The Delicate Dahlias stamp set is such an all-around great set! Both the images and sentiments are friendly for creating cards for many occasions. And when a stamp set is free, it makes it even better!

In today’s video, we will take this set and use it to create a really easy fun fold card.

Today’s Delicate Dahlias Video

I am glad I decided to change things up from the original version of my card. The embossed background layer with the added Pale Papaya ink really adds a nice touch. And the Pale Papaya ribbon is so dreamy. 🙂

More Book Binding Fold Cards

I made this card with a golden wedding anniversary in mind. The Be Dazzling Specialty Paper adds just the right amount of sparkle! This paper can come off as tacky if you look at a big 6 x 6 piece of it. However, when tucked in here and there on a card, it brings a nice pop of light!

Very Vanilla just makes my heart happy. I really wish that Stampin’ Up would use it more regularly. But for now, I will just sit back and enjoy the beauty of this Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, and Black combination.

In addition to the Delicate Dahlias stamps and the Be Dazzling paper, the Peaceful Prints DSP is another Sale-A-Bration offering. Just a little 4″ x 4″ piece totally makes this card! Cards do not need to be complicated to be beautiful.

I hope that you enjoyed this simple fun fold. It is a great layout to use if you need to just try a few things out or get your creative juices flowing! As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

A Note Card Fun Fold

A super cute fun fold card is on tap today. With this layout, you can use any stamp set, die set, or color of your choice. It clears the way for any creative block that might get in your way!

Today’s Video

I have been dying to play with the Art Gallery stamp set and Fine Art Floral DSP. This blue paper was really calling my name today. This is weird because blue is one of my least favorite colors. I really need to be in the mood to use it. However, I could not be more pleased with how this card turned out.

Have you ever colored in a stamp with your Stampin’ Write Markers before? It is a technique that I enjoy using every once in a while. It is fun and not messy.

More Fun Fold Cards

Whale of A Time is such a fun set to play with. The Bright Collection is my favorite and I tend to always use these colors when I use this set.

The same thing can be said for the Zoo Globe set as well. I love these animals! Remember, if you are going to use Stampin’ Blends, you must use an additional layer and adhere it to the notecard. This type of marker will bleed through your cardstock!

I used the Tin Tile Embossing Folder on the top layer of this card. Simply by opening the folder and dragging my ink pad across it, I was able to add some color and added dimension. This embossing folder and this stamp set are both retiring. Don’t forget to jump on my website to look over the Last Chance sale. You can do that here if you like: http://www.thepolkadotlife.com/shop/

Paper Pumpkin Stamps

This is a perfect example to remind you to use your Paper Pumpkin stamps! Again, this card is easy to use with any stamp set or color combination. Don’t forget that April 9th is the last day to sign up to receive the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. You won’t want to miss it!

As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative.
