Gorgeous Leaves Note Cards

Today’s project features the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle. Also, we are going to play with cutting felt and using it on our cards! Our Note Cards & Envelopes make the perfect choice for a quick card or gift set.

Today’s Video

The Gorgeous Leaves Bundle features the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set and the Intricate Leaves Dies. There are just way too many possibilities with this bundle to cover in one project or video. So, we are just going to look at using the dies to cut out felt today.

More Gorgeous Leaves Note Cards

Have you ever added felt to your cards before? I enjoy adding some different textures or textiles on occasion. Changing things up sometimes can be fun!

This stamp set is a great way to add interest to the background of your cards. I promise you will use the two “splotchy” stamps more than you think.

Any stamp set and most dies will work well for this layout. Play around and see what you love!

This card is my favorite. The Whimsical Trees Bundle was used on this card. I simply used a Blending Brush with Pool Party Ink to add a soft, little oval to my paper. Next, I added the trees cut from the felt to my card. And last, I stamped a sweet little tree on my envelope.

I hope that you were inspired to try adding some different things to your cards. As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

Cute Halloween by Stampin’ Up

The Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper is just that…CUTE! There are little bats dressed as vampires, goofy skeletons with purple birds, and adorable cats. My family enjoys Halloween and trick-or-treat but we just keep things on the lighter side of life.

Today’s Video

I decided that this year I would send a few more Halloween cards than I usually do. In particular, I was thinking about some older teens, college students, and young professionals. These people don’t expect anything from you. However, they would be excited to get a little “happy” in the mail.

A Gallery of Cute Halloween Cards

All of these cards emphasize three things. First, you can see how varying colors of card bases change the look of the card. Second, you can see how the slight 1/8″ border helps to pop the DSP off the card. And finally, cards do not need to be complicated to look great!I pulled these cards together in no time at all. Just set up an assembly line and keep things rolling.

As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

Pretty Pumpkins by Stampin’ Up

I was so excited to finally sit down and play with the Pretty Pumpkins bundle! Both the stamp set and die set have lovely images that can be used for all types of cards.

Today’s Video

Using several colors on a stamp gives such depth and life to an image. For that reason, I chose to demonstrate that technique today. Our Stampin’ Write Markers come in every color that Stampin’ Up carries. But, we don’t use them nearly as often as we should. The Stamparatus tool allows us to easily use multiple colors on our images!

More Pretty Pumpkin Cards

In contrast, these two above images were colored using our Stampin’ Blends Markers. You get a totally different look and feel to your cards!

I used Crumb Cake Ink and stamped the smaller pumpkin. Clear Embossing Powder was quickly sprinkled over the image and it was heat set. The same process was used for the sentiment. I die cut the larger pumpkin from a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock. A twine bow adds the finishing touch.

Finally, my last card of the day might be my favorite one. I wanted a simple yet elegant card for fall. I used a fall-type sentiment, but a birthday or wedding sentiment would also work very nicely.

As always remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative.

Seasons of Fun by Stampin’ Up

You can find the Seasons of Fun Stamp Set on page 78 of the July-December holiday catalog. The Seasons of Fun set is a Host Set. Do not get worried that you must hold a gathering to earn this stamp. Instead, you can earn it simply by placing your personal order of $150 or greater.

Today’s Video

The Seasons of Fun Stamp Set features adorable images of children celebrating various holidays. Halloween, Fall, and Christmas are all represented! Pet images are included as well. The DSP used on this card is from the Cute Halloween DSP package.

I enjoy coloring with my Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers. It reduces stress for me. Additionally, I love that we have so many coordinating colors. And isn’t that little skating girl precious?

More Seasons Of Fun Cards

This card just makes me smile! I love the colors and images on this card. Isn’t the kitty hiding in the leaves cute? This image reminds me of a photo that I have of my children in the leaves. And, it is still one of my all-time favorite photos!

To decorate the inside of my card, I pulled in a stamp from the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set. I used the tiny trio of leaves in the corners. The background on the front of the card was created using this stamp as well.

Trodding through the snow to cut and gather a Christmas Tree has never looked so carefree and cute! The Designer Series Paper is from the Gingerbread & Peppermint package.

The inside greeting is part of the Christmas To Remember stamp set. But you can substitute any greeting that you like.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and watch my video. I hope that today’s card inspires you to pull out your supplies and make a card or two! As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!

Flowers Of Friendship Color Challenge

Today, I will show you how I made my Flowers of Friendship Color Challenge card. The colors assigned this month were Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, and Gorgeous Grape. This combination is not my favorite!

Today’s Video

I decided to use the Early Espresso to stamp my main image. Even though we could, I chose not to use Memento Black as I felt it just introduced another color into the strange mix!

The Watercolor Pencils by Stampin’ Up are the stars of the show today. I mistakenly referred to them as colored pencils in the video. These are most definitely not regular colored pencils! You color with them just like a colored pencil, but you can blend them smooth using various methods. As a result, you get a gorgeous finish to your image!

Version One Of My Flowers Of Friendship Card

This was my first version of the card. I decided that I would like a thinner strip of the Early Espresso exposed, Also, I didn’t love the strip of ribbon that ran down the side. It didn’t connect with the bow and I felt that looked strange.

An Additional Color Challenge Card

For this second card, I used products from the Elegantly Said Bundle. If I didn’t need to add the Gorgeous Grape or Early Expresso to this card, I would love it! I just might rip off the sentiment and do it again! A Gorgeous Grape flower decorates the inside of the card.

Color Challenges help us to learn and grow. The above card leads me to a monochromatic card idea! Take some time to play with your supplies. Let yourself go. Enjoy the process.

Thank you for joining me today! As always, remember to be kind, send a card, and do something creative!
